A telehandler, also called a lull or a reach forklift, is a machine commonly used in the construction industry. It is somewhat like a forklift but has a boom, making it more like a crane than a forklift, with the expanded versatility of a single telescopic boom that can extend upward and forward from the machine. The boom can be fitted with different attachments, such as a bucket or a muck grab. In construction, the most common attachment for a lull is pallet forks and the most common application is to move loads from and to locations unreachable for a standard forklift. For example, zoom booms have the capability to remove palletized product from within a box truck and to place that product on to rooftops and other elevated places. The latter application would otherwise require a crane, which is not always practical or time-efficient on a work site. In agriculture the most widely used attachment for a teleporter is a bucket, and the most widely used application is to transport from and to unreachable for a 'conventional machine' which is typically is a wheeled loader or backhoe loader.
