A telehandler, also called a lull or a zoom boom, is a piece of equipment widely used in the agriculture industry. It is somewhat like a forklift but has a boom, making it more a crane than a forklift, with the increased versatility of a single telescopic boom that can reach upward and forward from the vehicle. The boom can be fitted with different attachments, such as pallet forks or a winch. In construction, the most common attachment for a reach forklift is pallet forks and the most common application is to move material to and from locations unreachable for a conventional forklift. For instance, teleporters have the capability to remove palletized material from within a container and to place that cargo on to rooftops and other elevated places. The latter application would otherwise require a crane, which is not always practical or time-efficient on a job site. In agriculture the most common attachment for a lull is a bucket, again the most common application is to move loads to and from places unobtainable for a 'conventional machine' which is typically is a wheeled loader or backhoe loader.
