A telehandler, also known as a lull or a zoom boom, is a piece of equipment commonly used in the construction industry. It is somewhat like a forklift but has a telescopic cylinder, making it more a crane than a forklift, with the expanded versatility of a single telescopic boom that can reach upward and forward from the vehicle. The boom can be fitted with different attachments, such as a bucket or a muck grab. In construction, the most widely used attachment for a teleporter is pallet forks and the most widely used application is to move loads to and from places unattainable for a standard forklift. For example, telehandlers have the ability to remove palletized cargo from within a trailer and to place that product on to rooftops and other elevated places. The latter use would otherwise require a crane, which is not always practical or time-efficient on a work site. In agriculture the most widely used attachment for a lull is a bucket grab, and the most common application is to move loads to and from places unreachable for a 'conventional machine' which is typically is a wheeled loader or backhoe loader.
