A telehandler, also known as a lull or a zoom boom, is a machine often used in the agriculture industry. It is somewhat like a forklift but has a boom, making it more like a crane than a forklift, with the increased versatility of a single telescopic boom that can extend upward and forward from the machine. The boom can be fitted with different attachments, such as a bucket or a muck grab. In industry, the most widely used attachment for a lull is pallet forks and the most widely used application is to move material to and from places unreachable for a standard forklift. For example, teleporters have the ability to remove palletized cargo from within a box truck and to place that product on to rooftops and other high places. The latter application would otherwise require a crane, which is not always practical or time-efficient on a job site. In agriculture the most common attachment for a zoom boom is a bucket grab, and the most common application is to move loads from and to unreachable for a 'conventional machine' which is typically is a wheeled loader or backhoe loader.
