A telehandler, also known as a teleporter or a reach forklift, is a machine commonly used in the agriculture industry. It is somewhat like a forklift but has a telescopic cylinder, making it more a crane than a forklift, with the expanded versatility of a single telescopic boom that can extend forward and upward from the machine. The boom can be fitted with different attachments, such as a bucket or a muck grab. In industry, the most widely used attachment for a lull is pallet forks and the most common application is to move material from and to places unreachable for a conventional forklift. For instance, telehandlers have the ability to remove palletized material from within a trailer and to place that material on to rooftops and other high locations. The latter application would otherwise require a crane, which is not always practical or time-efficient in a construction zone. In agriculture the most widely used attachment for a telehandler is a bucket, again the most common application is to transport from and to unreachable for a 'conventional machine' which is typically is a wheeled loader or backhoe loader. For instance, zoom booms are able to extend directly into a high-sided trailer or hopper. The latter application would otherwise require a conveyor, or something similar
