Dieci 12.56O Telehandler

A telehandler, also called a lull or a reach forklift, is a piece of equipment commonly used in the construction industry. It is somewhat like a forklift but has a boom, making it more a crane than a forklift, with the increased versatility of a single telescopic boom that can extend upward and forward from the machine. The boom can be fitted with different attachments, such as a bucket or a winch.

In construction, the most widely used attachment for a lull is pallet forks and the most common application is to move loads from and to locations unattainable for a standard forklift. For example, reach forklifts have the capability to move palletized product from within a trailer and to place that material on to rooftops and other elevated locations. The latter application would otherwise require a crane, which is not always practical or time-efficient on a job site.

In agriculture the most widely used attachment for a reach forklift is a bucket, and the most widely used application is to transport from and to unobtainable for a ‘conventional machine’ which in this case is a wheeled loader or backhoe loader. For example, teleporters are able to extend directly into a high-sided trailer or hopper. The latter application would otherwise require a conveyor, or something similar.
